Koko is a multidisciplinary artist who blends theatre, spoken word and live vocal looping.
Koko creates theatre about being the 'other' and focuses mainly on race, gender, and identity. She uses her loop station as an additional limb and is known to start with visual ideas to generate work. She loves to collaborate with other artists from a range of disciplines.
Koko has performed with venues such as the National Theatre, the Lyric Hammersmith, and the Traverse Theatre (Edinburgh). Her work has been performed at the Roundhouse and Soho Theatre and she has collaborated with Sean Holmes (director), Simon Stephens (playwright) and Stef O'Driscoll (director) on various shows.
